The iconic blue bird logo from Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters was sold for $34,375 at a recent RR Auction, marking another step in the platform’s transformation under Elon Musk. This comes after Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to X.
The 12-foot by 9-foot sign, weighing 254 kg, was purchased by an undisclosed buyer. The auction is part of Musk’s ongoing efforts to sell Twitter memorabilia, which previously included office furniture and kitchen equipment.
In addition to the Twitter logo, the auction featured other tech collectibles. A rare Apple-1 computer sold for $375,000, while a 1976 Apple check signed by Steve Jobs fetched $112,054.
A sealed first-generation 4GB iPhone also drew attention, selling for $87,514, reflecting the enduring value of vintage technology in the collectibles market.
The auction underscores the cultural significance of tech memorabilia and continues Musk’s trend of repurposing Twitter’s legacy as the platform evolves under his ownership.
